Even though the Carson High girls basketball team steamrolled Wooster 50-8 on Tuesday at Morse Burley Gum, CHS coach Doug Whisler knows his team will have to play much better in the regular season finale at arch rival Douglas.

“I wasn’t really pleased with their play. They’ll have to step it up greatly the next two days. We need to really have two good days of practice.”
Carson enters Friday’s game at Douglas at 5-4 in the Sierra League while the Tigers are 6-3. A possible second place finish and first round home playoff game will be on the line when the two teams meet at 5:15 p.m.

Against Wooster, Camryn Quilling scored 15 points, Bella Kordonowy scored eight points and Camille Kordonowy, Naycy Alvarez and Tezia Boice all added six points.
