November 18, 1936 ~ February 26, 2019

Our beloved mother and grandmother Linda Lee Cummings passed away on February 26, 2019, in Reno, Nevada at the age of 82. She was born to Howard and Angelina Walker on Nov. 18, 1936, in San Jose, California. She moved with her husband to Carson City, Nevada in 1974, and purchased the 7-11 store on Long Street. They later sold the store and ran a collection agency in Carson City for a number of years. They relocated to Dayton, Nevada in 1978 where she spent the rest of her life with us, her family. She eventually retired from Harley Davidson Credit as Facilities Manager.

Mom was very artistic and was a talented seamstress. She loved sewing, and she loved arts and crafts. Her favorite pastime was quilting and she made numerous quilts for herself, her children and her grandchildren. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Our mother sacrificed in so many ways for all of us and was a great gift of God to our family.

Linda was preceded in death by her father Howard Walker, her mother Angelina DeBella and her sister Joan.

Linda is survived by her daughter Cassandra Jackson (Randy) and her son Donald Cummings; grandchildren, Anthony Jackson, Christopher Jackson, Megan Jackson Cortinas (Joey), and honorary great-grand child Gabe Jacquez; brothers Howard and Steven Walker and sister Brenda Foster.

God gave our family an even greater gift when our mom placed her trust in Christ as her Lord and Savior. She believed in Him. God has brought her home and He is keeping her safe from all harm. We look forward to seeing her and honor the sacrifices she made for us until the Lord chooses to bring the rest of us home. You beat us there Mom!

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley, 1281 North Roop Street, Carson City, Nevada, followed by burial at Dayton Cemetery
