Shirley Irene Kentopp, born February 29, 1944, in Cherry Valley, Arkansas, passed away September 6, 2019, in Reno Nevada.
Shirley was preceded in death by her mother, Laverne McCarthy, father, William George McCarthy and a number of aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her daughter, Denise Lilly, son, Kevin Kentopp and wife Eve, son Michael Kentopp, sister Judy McCarthy, aunt Rachel Okuma and sweet friend and father of her children Marlin Kentopp. Also surviving are Shirley's many beloved grandchildren, Kevin Jr., Trevor, Tyler, Shyann, Ryan, Ashley, Michael and Ty, and great grandchildren Kalvin, Violit and Ethan.
Shirley worked for a number of years at the Dayton Justice Court as well as S&S Market and the Dayton Market. She was known for her love of family, San Francisco Giants and 49'er sports teams as well as playing Scrabble, Yahtzee and other card games.
