Genoa, Nev. — A community coronavirus testing and flu clinic is 2-4 p.m. today at the Douglas County Community & Senior Center. Bring an insurance card or $20 for the flu shot. The coronavirus test is gratis. Douglas has four new cases to bring it to 35 active and 423 recoveries.
East Fork firefighters responded to an apartment fire on Apollo in Gardnerville around 1 a.m. today for a report of smoke in a unit. A bathroom fan motor burned out and everyone was able to return to their homes. East Fork Battalion Chief Larry Goss reminded residents to check their smoke detectors.
The end might be in sight for the Planning Commission’s project to complete the master plan update. They meet virtually 1 p.m. today and could approve the plan or meet one more time on Nov. 17. Go to douglascountynv.gov and click on agendas and minutes to watch the meeting or comment.

Highway 395 between Bridgeport and Sonora Junction reopened around 1 a.m. Mono County was investigating a homicide along there for the entire day. The wreck near Bridgeport Reservoir delayed the work.
