Well, after a dozen years, the answer is 6 a.m. today. They’re limiting the number of folks in the bakery and per state order requiring masks and social distancing.

A Job Expo is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the CVIC Hall just up Esmeralda Avenue from the new Schat’s Bakery. Local employers and staffing agencies will be there.

I got turned around on the numbers in today’s print election story and underreported the turnout significantly. It’s fixed online. We’re looking at 63 percent turnout, according to the latest figures from the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office. My editor’s brain may have been surprised at how many people have voted already, because it’s a lot.

The roving ballot box is in Topaz Ranch Estates 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Fish Springs 3-6 p.m. today. Ballots may also be dropped off at the courthouse or the Community Center.

Expect sunny skies today with a high near 70 degrees and the wind out of the northeast at 5-10 mph. The low tonight is expected to hit 26.
