Shannon Hickey
A memorial service is 11 a.m. Monday at St. Gall Catholic Church for Shannon Colinee Hickey, who died March 14, 2021, at her home in Gardnerville. Masks are required. A reception is scheduled for after the service at Laura Springs Ranch 1456 Foothill Road, Gardnerville.
Born April 5, 1967, to Dan and Laurie Hickey, at Barton Memorial Hospital at Lake Tahoe, she was the great grandchild of East Fork Justice of the Peace James E. Hickey.
She is survived by her mother Laurie and brother Troy.
She is preceded in death by her father Danny on Dec. 11, 2018.
The Hickey family was an important part of Gardnerville, having owned both the former gas station in the S-Curve, the Village Motel and the restaurant that was once the Frosty Spot.
