East Fork responded to a few small fires over Easter weekend including a fire in the duff in the Pine Nuts and another controlled burn out of parameters a mile north of Holbrook. Large swaths of Central Nevada are under a red flag warning for extreme fire danger today.
Eligibility for the coronavirus vaccine opens up to everyone age 16 and up. Watch appointments for those under 18 to make sure they are lined up for Pfizer vaccinations because neither the Janssen nor Moderna have been approved for 16 and 17 year olds yet.

The wind is already blowing this morning with a lake wind advisory issued for Lake Tahoe and reduced visibility in the Western Nevada deserts due to blowing dust.
It’s already 50 degrees out in Minden so it won’t get much warmer when the sun rises. If you hooked up the hoses over the weekend, it might be a good idea to get them unhooked this evening, though it’s only supposed to drop to 28 degrees.
Expect sunny skies with the wind out of the east 5-10 mph shifting southwest to 15-20 mph in the afternoon and the high hitting 64 degrees. Winds could gust up to 35 mph this afternoon.
