Flush with a cool grand, the chairman of the Douglas County Community Services Foundation used it to name two family restrooms at the Senior Center after two other people.

Bob Cook donated $1,000 for the naming rights to the two family restrooms in the center.

“What better way to honor someone or some organization, than to have their name showcased for a year above these much-used doors,” center officials said.

Cook chose Carson Valley Arts Council President Brian Fitzgerald and Brady & Associates owner Dave Brady, who serves as Foundation Treasurer, as the two names that will adorn the bathrooms during 2021.

“I welcome the opportunity to support the fundraising efforts of the foundation in any capacity,” said Dave Brady “Perhaps Bob Cook will give me naming rights for a scoreboard next year.”

Fitzgerald, a foundation stakeholder said, “The Carson Valley Arts Council is proud to be the designated local arts agency for Douglas County. Thank you to Bob Cook and the Douglas County Community Services Foundation. As a fellow nonprofit organization, we are so pleased to serve such a great community and look forward to working together to bring more awareness to the arts and cultural programming.”

The Douglas County Community Services Foundation and the Douglas County Senior Services Division thanked Cook for supporting the Douglas County Senior Center.
