Tahoe Symphony returns to Gardnerville

The Tahoe Symphony Orchestra & Chorus presents a concert of baroque favorites in Gardnerville on Jan. 9.

“Brrroque Masters” features the symphony’s own performers as soloists in a program of music from the Baroque period.

Teleman Trumpet Concerto - William Cates, soloist

Handel Organ Concerto - David Brock, soloist

J.C. Bach Viola Concerto - Josh Warren, guest soloist

Vivaldi Concerto for Four Violins and Winter from Four Seasons

Concert performances will be conducted by Maestro James Rawie.

The Douglas County performance is 3 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1480 Douglas Ave., in Gardnerville.

To purchase tickets, contact the Carson Valley Arts Council at 775-782-8207 or stop by the office at 1572 Highway 395, Minden, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets will also be available at the door 30 minutes prior to the concert.

Before buying tickets, be sure to take note that Toccata requires proof of coronavirus vaccination and that masks are required. General admission is $30 for adults. Seniors enjoy a $5 discount, and youth 23 and under are admitted free. "Front and Center" preferred seating prices are $40 for adults and $15 for youth and students.
