The Jourets celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary.
They have been living in Gardnerville for the past five years after moving here from Big Pine, Calif.
They first met on a blind date to attend a Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass concert. After their wedding on June 4 in San Diego, they spent a three-day honeymoon in San Francisco.
They were hoping to celebrate this anniversary with a train ride to Virginia City. But since the train wasn't running yet, they spent time at Sharkey's Casino and enjoyed dinner. The waitress was kind enough to take their picture to commemorate the occasion.
