Genoa, Nev. — A manufactured home project at the Muller Lane Parkway roundabout goes before Gardnerville Town Board today. The Town Board is meeting in person 4:30 p.m. today at the CVIC Hall in Minden. (Yes, they’re meeting in Minden.)


I received a report that the Smith Valley collision on Saturday resulted in the death of one of the vehicle occupants. We’ll hear more today, I’m told.


Community coronavirus testing is 9-10:30 a.m. at the Douglas County Community & Senior Center in Gardnerville. Testing has been falling off since vaccinations became available, but it remains one of the three criteria.


Douglas County Emergency Management reports 458 active cases and 2,035 recoveries as of Monday night. Douglas added 15 new cases over the weekend and had 20 recoveries.


Genoa Town Manager JT Chevallier is taking a position with Douglas County Community Services. The news went out with the Genoa Newsletter and is on the agenda for the town board on Wednesday.


Expect partly sunny skies and a high temperature of 56 degrees today. There’s still a slight disturbance in the forecast for Saturday, but that’s a ways off yet.
