More than 100 vendors are expected to fill the gymnasium of the Douglas County Community & Senior Center for the Young at Heart’s annual Holiday Craft Fair on Friday and Saturday.
Vendors from around the region are offering handmade crafts including painted pottery and wood, knitted and crocheted quilts, blankets and clothing.
Ted Nagel will provide entertainment, with an appearance from Mr. and Mrs. Claus and three food trucks will be on hand.
“I’ve shopped it every year,” said Young at Heart member Kathryn Clark. “I always find something at the craft fair. If you like to give original, homemade gifts the craft fair is the place to go.”
The YAH Craft fair will be 5-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at the Douglas County Community & Senior Center, 1329 Waterloo Lane, Gardnerville.
Proceeds from the fair support local soup programs and other services for Senior Citizens in Douglas County.
Admission and parking are free. For information email YAH.craftfair@gmail.com or call 775-266-8781.
