Local shops are being recruited to participate in Small Business Saturday.
While Black Friday appears to have transmogrified into something very different, Small Business Saturday is still a thing in Carson Valley.
The Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce is actively recruiting businesses to participate in the Chamber’s annual Shop Small Passport.
Signing up is free and is open to all businesses in the Carson Valley, regardless of Chamber Membership. The Carson Valley Shop Small Passport will include the names, addresses, and Small Business Saturday promotions of all the participating businesses.
After enjoying Small Business Saturday, shoppers will submit their Passport to the Chamber for a chance to win a variety of prizes. Details and rules will be on the Passports and will be communicated to those who are participating.
Participating businesses are encouraged to register for the Passport by Friday to ensure they are included in the marketing material. The Chamber will be distributing the printed Passports to participating businesses and key community locations during the week of Nov. 22.
