The Douglas County Public Library Board of Trustees is close to selecting a new director.
Douglas County has announced the two finalists:
James W. Agee, Jr, previously the Library Director at the Hays Public Library in Hays, Kansas.
James K. Britsch, currently the Library Director at North Logan City Library in North Logan, Utah.
A meet and greet event with the candidate finalists is schedule for 5-6:30 p.m. Monday at the Douglas County Community and Senior Center, 1329 Waterloo Lane, with the candidates each giving a 10 minute presentation, beginning at 5:30 p.m., and socializing with members of the community. Attendees are invited to fill out public comment cards at the meet and greet event which will be presented to the Library Board of Trustees.
The Minden Library will close at 4:30 p.m. Monday for this event.
A formal interview of each candidate will take place at the Library Board of Trustees meeting 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the Minden Branch.
