A 1-1 tie left Douglas High girls soccer with a little to be desired, earning a point against Bishop Manogue on Tuesday.
Douglas bested Bishop Manogue, 5-0, five days prior to their second meeting.
The Tigers are now 4-2-2 on the year and sit inside of the top four in the region.
UP NEXT: Douglas gets a week off before meeting up with Carson (3-4) for the first time this season on Wednesday.
Douglas boys’ soccer drops first contest
For the first time this season, the Tiger boys’ soccer team lost Saturday.
On the road, the Tigers fell 3-2 to Reno.
Senior Juan Zabala recorded a goal while David Fausto tallied the other for Douglas.
UP NEXT: Douglas (4-1-2) will head right back to action Thursday against South Tahoe (2-2-1).
Reno snaps Tiger volleyball’s win streak
After besting Carson last week, the Douglas High volleyball team held onto a four-game winning streak.
The Tigers had continued to move their way up the Class 5A regional standings before falling to Reno in straight sets Tuesday night.
UP NEXT: Douglas (9-5, 5-4) gets no time to rest as the Tigers host Bishop Manogue (8-5, 8-1) Thursday.
The Miners beat the Tigers in straight sets in their first meeting in late August.
