-NOTICE OF PRIMARY ELECTION
PRIMARY ELECTION WILL BE CONDUCTED JUNE 14, 2022
Pursuant to NRS 293.203, notice is hereby given that the Primary Election will be held on June 14, 2022.
In accordance with AB321 Sec 3(2), all actively registered voters (who have not opted-out) will be sent a paper ballot by mail
for this and all future elections. The deadline to opt-out of mail ballot voting for the upcoming election is April 15, 2022. Voters
are encouraged to confirm the status of their registration, including mailing address and party affiliation, prior to April 15th.
Nevada currently maintains a closed Primary Election System. For the upcoming election, voters will receive a ballot based
upon their current political affiliation (on record). Since primaries are nominating elections, voters who wish to support a major
party candidate must be registered to that party. If you are unsure about your affiliation and wish to vote for a major party
candidate, please visit the Secretary of State’s online voter registration portal at: RegistertoVoteNV.gov.
Mail ballots will be sent out by:
• April 29th for military and overseas voters
• May 5th for out-of-state voters
• May 25th for in-state voters
Voters who receive a mail ballot may:
• Return their voted ballot by mail (using the postage-paid envelope provided in their voting packet), or
• Return their voted ballot in person to any Douglas County ballot drop off location or vote center during early
voting or on Election Day, or
• Surrender their mail ballot at any Douglas County vote center and vote in-person electronically.
