A vehicle fire shut down Spooner Junction for about an hour around 6 p.m. Saturday. From a photo I received from a reader, it looks like a silver sports car of some sort had smoke pouring out of the rear. There were no reports of injuries.
Deputies sorted out what sounded like a juvenile fight in the Gardnerville Ranchos around 5 p.m. Sunday. No one wanted to press charges, but there were at least three units working it during the evening.

I heard a little thunder on Sunday evening and kept a weather eye out. It rained a smidge this morning in Genoa, but only enough to dampen the dust at the bottom of my gauge.
