A March 13, 2023, trial was set for a Carson City man accused of committing sexual acts with a child over three years denied five felony counts.
Anthony Robert Diaz, 45, denied incidents that occurred 2014-2018 with the subject, who was 10 years old at the time they stopped. Diaz appeared in court on Aug. 16.
Diaz was arrested on March 9 and is being held in lieu of $675,000, according to jail records.
It will be just over two months before a man accused of sexually assaulting a child faces a jury.
Dylan Kenneth Downs, 29, is scheduled to go to trial Nov. 1-4.
Downs was arrested Aug. 19, 2021, on charges related to the assault that occurred between May 2017 and May 2018.
Downs denied the three felonies, which included sexual assault on a child under the age of 14, lewdness with a child under the age of 14 and child abuse by sexual abuse.
Downs was originally scheduled to go to trial in July, but that was delayed after his public defender retired.
If convicted of the most serious charges the men could face up to life in prison.
