Carson Valley Photo Club is seeking new officers with the new year, according to spokeswoman Nancy Hulsey.

The club had 20 member attend its December potluck meeting in person at Carson Valley United Methodist Church Potluck.

“Would you believe that our photographers are great cooks, too?” Hulsey said.

The club is taking applications for 2023 board members.

“We have things down to a slow roar but just mainly need a president, secretary and treasurer,” she said. “We have a vice president. We have photography outings planned according to seasons. So, step up, do your part, and make this another banner year.”

Hulsey thanked past board for taking control and maintaining during a very difficult time during which meetings were held virtually.

“Susan Roaldson for being our president and never missing a beat during our COVID lockdown and continuing for 2 years,” Hulsey said. “She, plus compadres NJ Thompson and Sandy Zonkey, Sandy Souza and Barbara Mower for being their wonderful selves and switching to Zoom as needed. We had some extremely interesting presenters.”

For the potluck, club members brought in their personal favorites, matted, unframed to be judged by their peers for a cash prize. Kim Steed, Steven Davis and Susan Roaldson won $75, $50 and $25 for their entries.

Photo Club meets 6:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month. Hulsey said the club will notify members whether the meeting is virtual or in person through their Facebook page.
