Smalley wraps up sophomore season at DBU
Douglas High alumna Madison Smalley capped her sophomore soccer season at Dallas Baptist University with a trip to the Division II Final Four.
The forward scored four goals this year in 19 appearances while picking up two starts.
Smalley’s final tally of the season came Nov. 6 in the regular season finale as Patriots put together a 6-0 win over UT Permian Basin.
This season, Dallas Baptist put together a 20-4 overall record and were ranked as high as No. 5 in the nation by the Division II women’s soccer coaches poll.
Bilderback starts seven games for Trevecca Nazarene
Ariana Bilderback appeared in 13 contests for the Trevecca Nazarene University soccer team this season, earning seven starts in the process.
The sophomore defender tallied an assist and put all four shots she took on net.
Trevecca Nazarene ended the year with a 9-7-4 record, falling in the conference semifinals to Ashland, 1-0, to close its season.
Sando caps sophomore campaign
Douglas High girls’ soccer alumna Tess Sando picked up 16 starts this past season for William Jessup.
A defender, Sando didn’t tally any points in her sophomore campaign but helped the Warriors finish the season 9-5-3.
Diaz completes sophomore season
Douglas High alumna Vaneza Diaz wrapped up her sophomore season with the Clarke University women’s soccer team.
Diaz appeared in 10 games for the Pride and tallied an assist this season.
Clarke went 10-8-1, falling in the conference tournament quarterfinals to end the year.
Coverley appears in 12 games for Sioux Falls
Molly Coverley put together 356 minutes on this pitch this season for the University of Sioux Falls.
Coverley, a 2019 Douglas High graduate, was a sophomore this past season for the Cougars.
The University of Sioux Falls went 3-11-4 this fall.
