Of the five Tier 3 permits before the Vacation Home Rental Advisory Permit only two were approved after a six-hour slog on Wednesday. Community Development Director Tom Dallaire said there are 531 VHR permits, 94 of which are Tier 3 sized. A waitlist of 146 applications. Dallaire said 20 permits were expired.
There was a report of a wildfire around 11 a.m. Wednesday above Pinenut Road near Robison in the Pine Nuts. I didn’t hear it on the radio, and there’s no indication on the Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Page of size or duration. Its location was burned over in the Numbers Fire. Still, as dry as it is, best to be careful with fire in the outback.
