Douglas High School graduate Cheyenne Williams plans to attend pre-veterinarian education at the University of Nevada, Reno, before applying to veterinarian school. Williams played tennis for the Tigers.


Jones graduates with degree in neuroscience

Shelby Jones of Minden earned a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience during 2022 commencement ceremonies at the University of Vermont.

Jones is a 2019 graduate of Bishop Manogue. A native Nevadan, Jones is the daughter of Barry and Karla Jones. She competed in track and field while at the University of Vermont.

She attended Sierra Lutheran High School where she covered Falcon sports for The Record-Courier in 2015-16, publishing 17 stories.


Ingrey earns bachelors

Former Douglas Tiger Zachary Ingrey earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah in materials science & engineering in summer 2021.

A Minden resident, Ingrey graduated from Douglas High School in 2016 and went to McGill University before transferring to the University of Utah to pursue an interest in polymer science and composites.

He is manager of the advanced manufacturing technologies at Salt Lake Community College. Minden residents Andrew-Joe Victor Honein and Chloe Lynne Stein were named to the University of Utah’s Spring 2022 dean’s list.


Coverley on dean’s list

Minden resident Molly Coverley was named to the University of Sioux Falls’ Spring 2022 Dean’s List. Coverley is majoring in criminal justice and psychology. 

A 2020 graduate of Douglas High School, Coverley played basketball and soccer for the Tigers. 


Edgar on dean’s list

Gardnerville Ranchos resident Erin Edgar was named to the Spring 2022 Dean’s List at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn.


Diaz on Dean’s List

Gardnerville resident Vaneza L. Diaz was named to the dean’s list at Clarke University for the Spring 2022 semester. Diaz is a 2020 graduate of Douglas High School, where she competed in soccer and basketball. She was a member of the National Honor Society and was active in the Future Business Leaders of America.

She is the daughter of Ricardo and Elida Diaz and is majoring in business administration.
