The Carson Valley Active 20-30 Club No. 85 has spent the past six months planning the 112th year of Carson Valley Days.

“Our 15 members are excited to see our hard work pay off and welcome everyone in our community next weekend,” said Patrick Thorne. “The following is some info for folks in the Carson Valley.”

Pre-sale carnival tickets are available at Raley's and Accolades Trophies Engraving & Gifts in Gardnerville as well as Nevada State Bank in Minden.

Pre-sale tickets are $30 this year and $35 at Lampe Park. Thursday night of the carnival this year is buy one get one-half off. Thursday night tickets can only be bought onsite that night.

For the parade, we are at roughly 70 entries with more coming in everyday. The club will take entry applications all thru next week.

Entry fees are $150 for political entries, $100 for business entries, $75 for nonprofit entries, and no fee for youth organizations. The parade will start in downtown Minden at 9 a.m. on Carson Valley Days Saturday.

Roads will be closed at 8 a.m.

After the parade ends the club will have plenty planned at Lampe Park.

There will be live music, food vendors, craft vendors, horseshoe tournament, and more. Also, after a several decade hiatus the CV Days beard contest will return on Saturday evening at 7 p.m.
