Advertisement for Competitive Bids
1. Separate sealed bids will be received by East Fork Fire Protection
District care of District Fire Chief, Minden, Nevada, for the work as
set forth in the Scope of Work Documents for the Fire Station 15
Renovation Project. The bids shall be received on or before 2:00
PM, July 8, 2022 at the East Fork Fire Protection District Office, 1694
County Road, Minden, Nevada 89423. Bids will be subsequently
opened and read aloud at 2:01 at the East Fork Fire Protection District
Office, 1694 County Road, Minden, Nevada 89423. A thorough review
will be conducted by the District to ensure that the bid is responsive
and responsible. The District will make a recommendation for award to
the District Board on July 19, 2022 at their regularly scheduled meeting.
2. The scheduled work for the Fire Station 15 Renovation Project
located at 3450 Jack’s Valley Road, Carson City, Nevada 89705,
consists of interior and exterior demolition, erection of interior walls,
exterior CMU infill with door and window installation, T-Bar Ceiling,
new HVAC, mini kitchen, and remodel of restroom facilities with the
installation of showers. Site improvements will include the installation of
chain link fence enclosure adjacent to the structure and concrete pad
and apron.
3. No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by a bid security
in the form of a Certified or Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond, in an amount
not less than five percent (5%) of the bid.
4. Documents may be found online at eastforkfire.org under the Bid
Posting and RFP tab.
5. Copies of the Bid Documents will be available starting at 8:00 AM
June 14, 2022 & may be obtained at the East Fork Fire Protection
District Office. The minimum licensing requirement is set forth by the
Nevada State Contractors Board, the contractor must be capable of
being bonded for this project.

7. The Prevailing Wage Rate as established by the State Labor
Commission shall be paid on projects with a contract price of $100,000
or more. The State Labor Commissioner has not assigned a Public
Works Project Number to this project. NRS 338.147 provides for a
five percent (5%) bidder preference to bidders who qualify for the
preference. The requirements for the preference are detailed in the
contract documents.
8. A pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday June, 28 2022,
at 1:00 pm at Fire Station 15, 3450 Jack’s Valley Road, Carson City,
Nevada 89705. Bidders are encouraged to attend and participate in
the conference but it is not mandatory.
9. The project will require the successful contractor to prepare the
necessary plans and submittals necessary to obtain building permits
prior to construction. The drawings presented are conceptual in nature
unless specific products are call out. They may or may not represent
the existing structural conditions. The successful contractor will be
responsible for the preparation of the necessary construction plans
and details required for permitting purposes. The drawings provided
are meant to provide the Owner’s intent and desired outcome upon
completion.
