County grant cycle begins

Applications for Douglas County’s 2022-23 Community Grant Program are being accepted through March 31.

Community Grants are grant funds the Board of County Commissioners awards to nonprofit organizations that provide a substantial benefit to the residents of the county.

Grant applications will be available at

https://www.douglascountynv.gov/cms/communitygrant

All agencies, which wish to request grant funding must complete and submit a grant application.

“Each applicant is strongly encouraged to review the evaluation criteria on the webpage while preparing the grant application,” county officials said. “All agencies who have submitted grant applications by the deadline are invited to attend the Audit Committee meeting when community grant recommendations are discussed, deliberated and announced as well as the BOCC meeting where the resolution is adopted, and certificates are presented to grantees.”

For updates on the process and meeting, visit the Community Grant website.

All applications and documentation submitted for this grant cycle will become public record. Federal Income Tax Returns will remain confidential.

Due to limited funding, some applicants may only receive partial funding.
