Carson swim and dive completes second home meet
The Senators’ swim and dive teams posted impressive results from their second home meet of the season over the past weekend.
In the pentathlon, Alexandra Llamas-Cruz was fourth overall for the Senators girls with a total time of 4:49.57.
Llamas-Cruz’s best result came in the 100-meter fly where she was second overall in 1:00.95.
Alexandra Nerska took seventh for Carson in 5:00.78, posting her most competitive times in the 100-meter breaststroke and 100-meter fly.
Brynn Russell was also a top 10 finisher for the Senators in 5:04.15.
On the boys side, Nicholas Melsheimer was third for Carson in 4:14.89, finishing the 100-meter freestyle just two-tenths of a second off of the leading pace.
Cole Bennett (14th), Todd Goselin (15th) and Benjamin Kahue (16th) were the next three swimmers for the Senators to place in the pool.

Douglas swim and dive meet results
In the boys’ pentathlon over the weekend at the Carson aquatic center, Calvin Stevenson posted the Tigers best time in 4:16.40 where he finished fifth.
Jesse LoPresto was eighth for Douglas in 4:23.00, posting his top finishes in the 50-meter freestyle and the 100-meter free.
For the Douglas girls, Sofia Delange led the charge with a sixth place finish in 4:59.23 after taking fourth in the 50-meter freestyle in 26.98.
Barrett Lee was 11th for the Tigers in 5:07.23.
