NOTICE INVITING BIDS

RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS: Sealed proposals will be received at the

Nevada Division of State Parks, 901 S. Stewart St. Ste. 5005, Carson

City, Nevada 89701; until 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time on April 6th, 2022.

Receipt of the proposal by the State Mail Room is not acceptable; it

must be at the physical address indicated above. Proposals must

include a paper and electronic copy of all bid documents.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The project shall include, but not limited

to: Remove existing facilities, install picnic areas, install electric vehicle

charging infrastructure, perform parking and circulation improvements,

and install interpretive trails and improvements for “SPOONER

FRONTCOUNTRY IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 2 CIRCULATION &

FACILITIES IMPROVEMENTS, SPOONER LAKE STATE PARK,

DOUGLAS COUNTY, NEVADA.” Other associated or incidental work

as shown or specified in the Contract Drawings and specifications.

QUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS: Prospective bidders shall at the time

of bid opening, possess a valid Class “A” or “AB” contractors license

issued by the Nevada State Contractors Board, registered and in good

standings with the Nevada Secretary of State, and provide verifiable

documentation and references of at least three similar projects completed

successfully.

COMPLETION OF WORK: All work must be completed within; ONE

HUNDRED NINETY FIVE (195) calendar days after the date of commencement

as stated in the Notice to Proceed.

OPENING OF PROPOSALS: The proposals will be publicly opened

and read at 2:00 PM Pacific Time on April 6th, 2022 at Nevada Division

of State Parks, 901 S. Stewart St. Ste. 1001, Carson City, Nevada

89701.

OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: The plans are entitled

“SPOONER FRONTCOUNTRY IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 2 AT

SPOONER LAKE STATE PARK, DOUGLAS COUNTY, NEVADA.”

Preliminary plans may be obtained free of charge in PDF format via

email from the Nevada Division of State Parks, Contact Kevin Sellstrom,

775-684-2790 or email at: ksellstrom@parks.nv.gov. Printed

plans and contract documents are NOT available from the Division

of State Parks. Plans may be viewed by appointment in Carson City,

Nevada at the Nevada Division of State Parks at 901 S. Stewart St.

PROPOSAL GUARANTEE: Each proposal shall be accompanied

by a certified or cashier’s check or bid bond in the amount of not less

than 5 percent of the total bid price payable to the Nevada Division of

State Parks as a guarantee that the bidder, if his proposal is accepted,

will promptly execute the contract, secure the necessary insurance,

furnish a performance bond in the amount of 100 percent of the total

bid price, and furnish a labor and material bond in the amount of 100

percent of the bid price.

WAGE RATES: As required by Nevada Revised Statutes, Chapter

338 and the United States Government, bidders are hereby notified

that no less than the general prevailing wage rates, including rates for

overtime and holiday work, in the locality in which the work is to be

performed, for each craft or type of workman needed to execute the

work contemplated under the Contract as determined by the Labor

Commissioner of the State of Nevada and the U.S. Department of

Labor, shall be paid to all workmen employed on said work by the

Contractor or by a subcontractor performing any part of said work. A

listing of the minimum wage rates in effect is included in the General

Conditions of the Specifications.

There will not be a pre-bid meeting for this project. All questions must

be received in writing on or before 2:00 PM on March 31st.

RIGHTS RESERVED: The Nevada Division of State Parks reserves

the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in a bid and

to make awards in the interest of the State of Nevada.
