Two wins by run-rule extend the Tiger winning streak to nine games early on in the year for Douglas baseball.
A 12-0 win over Dayton on Tuesday followed by a 14-4 win over Lassen (CA) moves the Tigers to 10-2 on the year.
Against Dayton, Gabe Natividad was 3-for-4 with two triples for Douglas while Gabe Foster went 3-for-3 with two doubles.
Both Natividad and Foster drove in a pair of runs in the win.
Luka Rodina also drove in a pair for the Tigers while Brendan Melandow and Kaden McIver combined for 12 strikeouts on the bump, allowing just two hits.
Against Lassen, the Tigers used seven runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to reach the run rule Thursday.
Natividad and Foster were again the big barrels at the plate, driving in seven runs total for Douglas in the win.
Melandow, Jason Hernandez and Gavin Gitthens were each credited with an RBI as well.
In four innings of work, Noah Kohbarger punched out six batters while allowing one earned run.
UP NEXT: Douglas (10-2 overall) is back in action Saturday morning against Bishop Manogue in Minden, concluding the Tigers’ sixth straight home game.
