I have a few questions to ask. Before I ask these questions, I know the answers will be as varied as the amount of people who read this article. In consideration of the fact that we have unlimited access to the Word of God, many of us have several Bibles in our homes. The technology we have access to, is amazing. What place does the Bible hold in your life?
Do you believe what it says? Romans 10:17So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Do you believe all of it or only the parts you like? Psalm 119:160 The entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.
Do you spend enough time reading or hearing it to really know what it says? Psalm 119:10-1210 With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! 11 Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.12 Blessed are You, O Lord! Teach me Your statutes.
Do you consult it before making major decisions in your life? Psalm 119: 105 Your word isa lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Do you speak the Word into you and your family’s life? Proverbs 3:1 My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands; 2 For length of days and long life And peace they will add to you.
Do you let the Word of God reveal you to you? Heb 4: 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
The answers to these questions carry eternal significance for you, your family and everyone around you. We do not have the option to ignore them. They are unavoidable. You will answer them even if you ignore them, for ignoring them is to answer them.
