For more than a half-century, Carson Valley businesses have displayed Carson Valley Days banners to show their support for the event.
Scout Troops 20 and 30 are raising funds by setting up Carson Valley Days banners in preparation for the big celebration.
Banners are a $50 donation and all the proceeds support the Scout troops. The price includes setting up the banner on your business June 3-5 and then taking them down after the event.
Banners are available through carsonvalleydaysbanners.com or you can mail a check to PO Box 1033, Genoa, NV 89411.
The Carson Valley Lions Club has been selling Carson Valley Days buttons since last month’s Business Showcase.
You can show your support by buying one at several businesses around town, including Kim’s Donuts, Coffee on Main, Raley’s, Ace Hardware, both 7-Elevens in Gardnerville, the Corner Bar and many more locations.
Lion Ron Santi said they will also be at the Esmeralda Farmers Markets on Tuesdays and will be selling buttons the day of the parade.
“The funds raised from button sales go right back into the community supporting our many community projects,” he said.
