The Memorial Day weekend will give us an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who’ve fought and died for our country. I expect Carson Valley service clubs will be placing flags on graves of veterans on Friday.
There will be a breeze lofting those flags today with the wind picking up today and gusting to 40 mph in some spots. We could see some thunderstorms or showers over the weekend, which means there’s a possibility for fires.
Forecasters say the snow level could drop to 6,100 feet on Sunday morning rising to 6,700 feet and then back down after midnight on Sunday. We could see a low temperature of around 33 degrees early on Memorial Day.
Expect increasing clouds today with a high of 86. The southwest wind will increase to 15-25 mph this afternoon, gusting to 35 mph.
