On 11/3/2022, the Douglas County Board of Commissioners INTRODUCED the following ordinance:
ORDINANCE: 2022-1606
TITLE: Ordinance 2022-1606, an Ordinance amending Douglas County Code, Chapter 10.12 relating to Regulations for Parking by (1) prohibiting or restricting parking on Bliss Road, and on certain streets and highways within the following General Improvement Districts: Marla Bay, Skyland, Oliver Park, and Cave Rock Estates; together with other matters properly relating thereto; (2) removing the parking prohibition on Elges Road, which now accommodates residential parking; and (3) including a provision regarding parking spaces designated for persons who are handicapped.
SUMMARY: ORDINANCE 2022-1606, amends Douglas County Code, Chapter 10.12 relating to the Regulations for Parking in Douglas County. The ordinance would (1) amend Section 10.12.020 to prohibit parking on Bliss Road and remove the parking prohibition on Elges Road; (2) add Section 10.12.100 to establish regulations for parking within the Marla Bay General Improvement District; (3) add Section 10.12.110 to establish regulations for parking within the Skyland General Improvement District; (4) add section 10.12.120 to establish regulations for parking within the Cave Rock Estates General Improvement District; (5) amend Section 10.12.070 relating to regulations for parking within the Oliver Park General Improvement District; and (6) add Section 10.12.130 regarding parking spaces designated for persons who are handicapped.
The 2nd Reading of this Ordinance will be held on 12/1/2022. A copy of this ordinance is on file in the Clerk’s Office for public review.
