Santa and Mrs. Claus join a friend for last year's Young at Heart Craft Fair

Young At Heart Senior Citizens Club will be hosting their annual two-day craft fair 5-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Douglas County Community and Senior Center in Gardnerville.

More than 100 vendors are expected at the fair, which supports local soup programs and other services for Senior Citizens in Douglas County. For more information email YAH.craftfaire@gmail.com

In Sunridge, Sierra Lutheran High School will host the fourth annual Christ is Christmas Craft Fair on 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Norm Brauer Gymnasium.

A wide variety of over 50 vendors offering everything from handmade Christmas decorations and gifts to food samples, to art and jewelry booths and much more will be on hand.

The fair will also offer a number of free family friendly activities, including face painting throughout the day. Santa Claus will be making an early visit to the area and will be available for pictures each day from from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Also available during that time will be hot chocolate and story time with Storyteller Bev. And from 1-3 p.m., the SLHS Worship Team will be caroling around the venue.

The Bus Boy, one of the area’s most popular food trucks, will also be on hand from 11 to 1 p.m. The event, which also includes a wonderful array of raffle items, is free to the public.
