Public Hearing
A meeting of the Douglas County Vacation Home Rental (VHR) Advisory
Board will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 1:00 PM, at
Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District Station #23, 193 Elks Point Rd,
Zephyr Cove.
Agenda items may be taken out of order, may be combined for consideration,
or may be removed from the agenda at any time. All items
designated “for possible action” may include discussion by the Vacation
Home Rental (VHR) Advisory Board and they may take action to approve,
modify, deny, take “no action,” or continue the item.

The application(s) below will be considered under the Public Hearing
portion of the meeting. The full agenda and staff report will be posted
with the agenda packet.
For possible action. Discussion on a Special Use Permit application
to obtain a Tier 3 Vacation Home Rental Permit. The subject application
is for an 8-bedroom home, 16-person occupancy, located at 230
Terrace View Drive, Zephyr Cove, NV 89448. The owners are Doug
and Sandra Kraus, who currently have a Douglas County issued VHR
Permit, Account No. 08400990 (APN# 1318-23-710-030).
For possible action. Discussion on a Special Use Permit application
to obtain a Tier 3 Vacation Home Rental Permit. The subject application
is for a 6-bedroom home, 12-person occupancy, located at 314 Barton
Drive, Zephyr Cove, NV 89448. The owners are Christopher and Hertha
Arend, who currently have a Douglas County issued VHR Permit,
Account No.08400469 (APN# 1319-18-414-006).
For possible action. Discussion on a Special Use Permit application
to obtain a Tier 3 Vacation Home Rental Permit. The subject application
is for a 7-bedroom home, 14-person occupancy, located at 395 Sherwood
Drive, Stateline, NV 89449. The owners are Timothy and Olga
Alexander, who currently have a Douglas County issued VHR Permit,
Account No. 08401966 (APN# 1318-23-710-060).
For possible action. Discussion on a Special Use Permit application
to obtain a Tier 3 Vacation Home Rental Permit. The subject application
is for a 10- bedroom home, 20- person occupancy, located at 1211 Hwy
50, Glenbrook, NV 89413. The owner is Joey Max Laub, who currently
has a Douglas County issued VHR Permit, Account No. 08401823
(APN 1418-34-202-007).
For possible action. Discussion on scheduling for the regular VHR
Advisory Board meetings in November and December.
The public will only be able to participate in the meeting by appearing in
person. A non-participatory livestream broadcast of the meeting will be
available via YouTube.
