Tiger volleyball wins third straight
Douglas High volleyball took down McQueen on Thursday in straight sets, 25-15, 25-20, 25-18.
The result moves Douglas to 12-14 overall and 5-7 in Northern Class 5A league play.
Douglas will continue pushing for a postseason spot next week with contests against Bishop Manogue (16-9, 10-2) Tuesday and Spanish Springs (23-4, 10-2) Thursday.
Douglas girls and boys soccer fall on Senior Night
Both Tiger soccer teams couldn’t get a win on Senior Night this week for their respective squads.
The Douglas girls fell 1-0 to Reno on Tuesday while the Tiger boys dropped a league contest with McQueen, 4-0.
Both teams contained numerous seniors among their respective ranks.
UP NEXT: The Douglas girls (7-6-1, 5-4-1) hopped back into action Friday evening against McQueen (6-4-4, 4-3-3). The Tiger boys (5-7-1, 0-5-1) travel to Reno (4-6-1, 0-5-1) Saturday for a 10:45 a.m. kickoff.
