Genoa, Nev. — A total of 380 voters cast ballots in person on Monday bringing the tally to 732 to vote using a machine. The Clerk-Treasurer’s Office reported receiving 928 paper ballots on Monday, bringing the total to 2,253 at latest report. The total accounts for 5.6 percent of the county’s active electorate.


The roving ballot box is scheduled to be at the TRE Community Center 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and at the Fish Springs Fire Station 3-6 p.m. today, according to the ballot drop-off locations chart, which is on page 5 of the sample ballot. If I forget a day, you can look it up at govotedouglas.com

Douglas County Library trustees are being asked to approve $117,323 to replace material damaged in last spring’s water line break. They’ll also be discussing the Nov. 4 show and Nov. 9 reception for the Tiny Art Show at their meeting 10 a.m. today at the Minden Branch.


The weather rollercoaster that is autumn saw Minden-Tahoe Airport go from a low of 14 degrees on Monday morning to a low of 41 at 5:55 a.m. today as a weak front passes north of us.


Expect partly sunny skies with the high temperature approaching 60 degrees and the wind out of the north at 5 mph. The low tonight is expected to drop to 25 degrees.
