Update: Forward progress was stopped by 4:35 p.m. on the Kiss Fire burning above Johnson Lane. The fire is estimated at less than 1 acre in size in light brush. 

A helicopter aided firefighters efforts in dousing the blaze.

Firefighters responded to a couple of small fires in the Pine Nuts on Tuesday afternoon.

The Kiss Lane and Como fires were reported within nine minutes of one another at around 3:30 p.m., according to the Sierra Front interagency Dispatch.

A helicopter is landing a crew at the 2-3-acre fire Kiss Fire located above Johnson Lane. The fire is burning in light brush with a moderate rate of spread.

The Como Fire is above Dayton where a few lightning strikes were recorded at lightningmaps.org.
