A Remembrance 9/11 Memorial Concert will be dedicated to the memory of former Genoa Historic District Commission member Greg Brown.
Brown was a member of the Carson Valley Arts Council Board when he died.
A U.S. Marine veteran, he moved to Genoa from the Bay Area in 2016 and was an active volunteer for the Douglas County Sheriff’s Citizens Patrol, Nevada Civil War Volunteers and the Friends of Genoa among others.
Brown died Aug. 1, 2021, from a sudden heart attack.
Performed by the Tahoe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, the concert will be 7 p.m. tonight at the CVIC Hall in Minden.
The concert will open with Bruch-Violin Concerto, No. 1, featuring guest violinist Sarah Cory.
The concert concludes with selections from Mozart Requiem. Maestro James Rawie, Toccata’s Founder and Artistic Director, will conduct the performance.

General admission is $30 adults and $25 for seniors. Preferred seating is $40 and $15 for youth/students. Youth and students, with ID, under 23 years of age are free, in non reserved seating.
