Public Hearing
A meeting of the Douglas County Vacation Home Rental (VHR) Advisory
Board will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at 1:00 PM, at
the Historic Courthouse, 1616 Eighth Street, Minden, NV 89423.
Agenda items may be taken out of order, may be combined for
consideration, or may be removed from the agenda at any time. All
items designated “for possible action” may include discussion by the
Vacation Home Rental (VHR) Advisory Board and they may take action
to approve, modify, deny, take “no action,” or continue the item.

The application(s) below will be considered under the Public Hearing
portion of the meeting. The full agenda and staff report will be posted
with the agenda packet.
For possible action. Discussion on a Special Use Permit application
to obtain a Tier 3 Vacation Home Rental Permit. The subject application
is for a 6-bedroom home, 12-person occupancy, located at 610 Don
Drive, Zephyr Cove, NV 89449. The owner is the Robert Paul Taylor,
who currently has a Douglas County issued VHR Permit, Account No.
08400901 (APN# 1318-10-416-015).
For possible action. Discussion on a Special Use Permit application to
obtain a Tier 3 Vacation Home Rental Permit. The subject application is
for an 8-bedroom home, 16-person occupancy, located at 173 Juniper
Drive, Zephyr Cove, NV 89449. The owner is Robert Paul Taylor, who
currently has a Douglas County issued VHR Permit, Account No.
08400971 (APN# 1318-23-810-105).
For possible action. Discussion on a Special Use Permit application to
obtain a Tier 3 Vacation Home Rental Permit. The subject application is
for an 11-bedroom home, 22-person occupancy, located at 343 Tramway
Drive, Stateline, NV 89449. The owner is James Thulin, who currently
has a Douglas County issued VHR Permit, Account No. 8400984 (APN#
1319-30-627-027).
For possible action. Discussion on a Special Use Permit application to
obtain a Tier 3 Vacation Home Rental Permit. The subject application is
for a 7- bedroom home, 14- person occupancy, located at 626 Jeff Lane,
Glenbrook NV 89413. The owner is SSL PROPERTIES LLC (Hanh
Dao, Luan Le), who currently has a Douglas County issued VHR Permit,
Account No. 08400422 (APN 1319-19-310-012).
For possible action. Discussion on an appeal of a Tier 1 permit
revocation. The subject property is a 2-bedroom unit, 4-person
occupancy, located at 324 Kingsbury Grade, Stateline, NV 89449.
The owner is Zachary Shields, who had a Douglas County issued VHR
Permit, Account No. 08401820 (APN 1318-26-510-010), until it was
revoked.
The public will only be able to participate in the meeting by appearing in
person. A non-participatory livestream broadcast of the meeting will be
available via YouTube.
