Forty Douglas High School art students have their work on display at the Copeland Gallery in Minden from through April 27. This exhibit presents their mixed media projects based on a year of studying with teacher Kelly Yost.
The exhibit may be viewed Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Participating students include: Kylee Lash, MacKenzie Willis, Jordan Prather, Harley Smith, Addison Buckner, Sabrina Settlelmeyer, Carly Van Wegenen, Elizabeth Gneiting, Haley Stroner, Makaila King, Isabella Pummill, Abbi Girdner, Micah Russell, Harmony Campbell, Grace McGuffin, Josh Mullin, Hannah Johnson, Jordan Hoffman, Emma Showley, Brian Leon Loayza, Anjali KC, Noey Aroonruang, Peter Rivera, Izzy Neely, Bailey Bleich, Kellan Pendola, Amy Rivera, JIO Shuman, Peter Sheikman, McKenna Chappell, Sydney Williams, Thomas McDowell, Jules James, Frankie Gallengos, Marisa Martinez, Maggie Schneider, Gracen Gasporra, Katy Hutchins, Karla Rivas, and Madi Frisley.
The arts council will host an artist’s reception for the students 1-3 p.m. Saturday. The reception is free and open to the public.
“Carson Valley Arts Council is delighted to present work by Ms. Yost’s accomplished students,” said Executive Director Sharon Schlegel. “Their professional level of work presents accomplished and diverse mixed media creative achievements.”
