The last in Carson Valley Arts Council’s 2022-2023 Concert Series will feature music from DonGato’s Latin Band 7 p.m. May 6 at the CVIC Hall in Minden. This is a departure from the usual Friday night concerts.
DonGato Latin Band is comprised of Barbara Calebaugh (lead vocalist), Jack Gruber (bongos), Orlando (DonGato) Ramos (piano and background vocals), Carlos McCoy (saxophone and flute), Hugo Ochoa (Bass), and Freddie Miranda (saxophone and percussion).
The band plays sophisticated Latin music blended with, Cuban son, salsa, cha-cha-chá and smooth Latin jazz with a dash of a tropical feel. DGLB’s song list includes a tribute to the Buena Vista Social Club and American Pop tunes with a Latin Beat.
Tickets are $20 members, $24 general audience, and kids under 18 are free with a paid adult ticket.
