Carson Valley local artist Jakota Wass is looking forward to performing “Battle Born” and more during the Bently Summer Concert series at Minden Park Friday.
“I’m always excited to play my album “Battle Born” for the local Carson Valley people and to play for them all together,’ he said.
Wass grew up in the Carson Valley and is known locally for his country western influence.
“Many of my fans are my friends and people around town that come to my performances and concerts to support me and it’s a great feeling, I really enjoy it,” he said.
Wass has performed at venues all around Northern Nevada and Lake Tahoe, including most recently at Night in the Country in Yerington.
“It was an incredible experience for sure,” he said, “especially since I was still in Nevada, I got to highlight some of my local songs. It was great to get out and meet new people and perform in front of a larger crowd.”
As stated in his biography on www.JakotaWass.com, Wass is continuously exploring and improving his passion and looks to make music his career, traveling the country and sharing his talents, which may come to fruition in the near future, said Wass.
“It’s something I want to do, but I want to finish school first and get my degree and then just kind of go from there and put together a new album,” he said. “In the meantime, I’m looking forward to performing in Minden and continue locally and when the time comes, I’ll say a farewell.”
