Genoa, Nev. — A land division map creating 10 lots at Centerville Lane and Foothill Road was recommended to county commissioners by the planning commission on Tuesday. The 25-acre property is zoned for 2-acre lots.

One place that didn’t suffer significant flooding during the winter was the Dangberg Historic Home Ranch, according to Park Director Mark Jensen. A zone change to public facility on the site was approved by planning commissioners.

I understand that the school board meeting last night was pretty dramatic. I’m sure we’ll hear more about it today.

Chautauquan Kim Harris will perform 6:30 p.m. today at the Dangberg Historic Home Ranch as Mary Perkins Bradbury, who was convicted, tried, and sentenced to hang as a witch in Salem, Mass., and how she escaped the gallows.

There might be some light drift smoke in the air today, according to the fire.airnow.gov web site. The Ranchos Aspen Park air quality monitor was right around 30 at dawn.

Expect sunny skies today with a high of 88 degrees and the wind out of the west at 5-10 mph this afternoon, picking up to 10-15 mph around sunset.
