My first bylines in The Record-Courier appeared on Aug. 17, 1989, 34 years ago today. I wrote up a fatal collision, a con artist who managed to get three businesses to hand him money and a fight at the Ranchos sandpit that saw seven arrests. I’ve spent more than two-thirds of that time working in Carson Valley.
