Genoa, Nev. — The first stop toward building a new judicial center will be the Debt Management Commission 9 a.m. today at the historic Courthouse for the county’s proposal to issue $14 million in general obligation medium term bonds and $43.3 million in general obligation revenue bonds.

Vacation home rental density in Lake Tahoe’s neighborhoods is on the VHR Advisory Board’s agenda 1 p.m. today at the Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District office, 193 Elks Point Road in Zephyr Cove. That the President is renting a place from a billionaire without a permit up the road might come up, somehow.

I’m getting notes from residents about the aircraft flying over Carson Valley. I suspect most of that is related to Joe Biden’s visit to Tahoe, and should lighten up when he leaves, which could be as early as Thursday.

On less weighty matters, Wind Down Wednesday is 4-8 p.m. today in Heritage Park in Gardnerville. Organizer CV Flyte got the first mobile liquor license in Douglas County last week. I hear Hick’ry Switch and Lost Reverends of the High Sierra will be performing.

It is forecast to be a nice day in the park, with sunny skies and a high temperature around 81 degrees, as summer returns. The breeze will be out of the northwest at 5-10 mph. There’s a little fog down by the river this morning.
