Carson City photographer John Warden will display his work Sept. 6 through Oct. 23 at the Copeland Gallery in Minden.

A 19-year resident of the eastern Sierra, Warden is a self-taught photographer who spends hours in the Sierra back country and Nevada deserts.

“Photography is a way he can share his experiences with the world,” reviewers said. “No matter where he goes, the eye of the lens documents that experience.”

The exhibit may be viewed 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and be available for purchase.

An artist’s reception will be 1-3 p.m. Sept. 9, hosted by the Carson Valley Arts Council. The reception is free and open to the public.

For questions or more information, call the arts council office at 782-8207 or visit www.cvartscouncil.com to learn more about CVAC and upcoming events.

The Copeland Gallery is located at 1572 Highway 395, Minden at the intersection with County Road.
