Meth dealer faces up to 30 years in prison

A woman who sold methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School faces up to 30 years in prison.

Carrie Sue Rhodehouse, 51, admitted to charges of child abuse and neglect, sale of a controlled substance and allowing a child to be present during a drug transaction.

According to court records, Rhodehouse allowed a child under the age of 18 to be present in a home where drugs were being used and sold between Feb. 7 and June 6 near Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School.

Sentencing is set for Feb. 12, 2024.

She was arrested on June 14 on the same morning a similar raid occurred in Gardnerville that saw the arrest of Janie Michelle Phillips on multiple drug felonies.

Phillips case was due in East Fork Justice Court this morning.

• A man, who was transporting many different types of drugs and paraphernalia, with his 7-year-old child in the vehicle was sen-tenced to five years in prison Monday.

Eric Charles Detrick, 49, was arrested Jan. 7, 2022, for a third of-fense possession of a controlled substance including heroin, LSD, fentanyl and methamphetamine, possession of credit card without the card holders permission and child endangerment.

He was sentenced to serve 12-30 months concurrent on counts one and two and 164 days for the child endangerment charge. He was given credit for 164 days in custody.

A $5,000 warrant was issued for Akasha Jade Gomez, 34, on Mon-day in Douglas County District Court.

Gomez failed to appear for court twice, on Monday and Nov. 27.

Gomez received a deferred sentence Nov. 8, 2021, on a theft charge of $14,458, which was uncovered Jan. 2, 2021, according to court records. She agreed to pay $500 a month in restitution as part of her deferred sentence and participate in Western Nevada Regional Drug Court.

• A $5,000 warrant was issued for Sophia Gene Robertson on Monday in Douglas County District Court.

Robertson was arrested Aug. 16 on a possession of methamphet-amine and cocaine charge. She was released on her own recogni-zance on Sept. 26.

She has two prior arrests involving possession of controlled sub-stances.
