Genoa, Nev. — Rescuers responded to a three-vehicle collision in the 88-County Road roundabout at 7:30 a.m. today. There's no report of serious injuries, but that intersection is going to be a mess this morning.
County commissioners are scheduled to make appointments to a dozen boards today. Half those boards have the same number of applicants as open seats, while the other half account for two-thirds of the roughly three dozen applicants. Speaking of courthouses, the Debt Management Commission approved a resolution to OK $37 million in financing for a new Douglas County Justice Center on Wednesday morning.

I sat on the deck for a spell last night and watched the Geminids flash through the atmosphere and listened to the coyotes sing. It was clear and cold, and the night sky rivaled any Christmas display.
