Well 6 Equipping, Main Repairs and Gen Sets

Separate sealed Bids for the construction of the Well 6 Equipping, Main
Repairs and Gen Sets located in Wellington, Nevada will be received
by Topaz Ranch Estates General Improvement District, the Owner,
at the office of the Owner, 1490 Albite Road, Suite 8, Wellington, NV
89444 until 2:00 PM local time, on March 23, 2023. The Bids will then be
publicly opened and read aloud.
The Work generally includes the following: furnishing of all materials,
labor, equipment, tools, transportation, and services for Equipping
newly drilled replacement Well No. 6, upgrading mechanical piping and
electrical in the well building, well transmission main installation, Booster
Stations No. 1 & 2 backup generators and transfer switches and misc.
water distribution system abandonments.
Bids are requested for the following Contract: Well 6 Equipping, Main
Repairs and Gen Sets / PWP No. DO-2023-257
Owner anticipates that the Project’s total bid price will be approximately
$450,000 The Project has an expected duration of 70 days. Time is of
the essence and the Owner will require construction to begin diligently
following bid opening and contract award. Bids will be received for a
single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, with additive
alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.
Obtaining the Bidding Documents
Information and Bidding Documents for the Project can be found at the

Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website.
Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website
as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan
room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or
paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with
addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information
relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications,
addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the
designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for
Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources
other than the designated website. Prospective Bidders may obtain
or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday
through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM and may
obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as
described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available
from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible
for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any,
obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bidding Documents
may be purchased from the designated website indicated above. The
cost only provides a PDF/Electronic copy of the documents. Upon
registering with
the website listed above and paying the $22.00 fee, the documents will
be available for printing/downloading.
Pre-bid Conference
A pre bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM on March 15, 2023,
beginning at the Topaz Ranch Estates GID office, 1490 Albite Road,
Wellington, Nevada 89444. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is
highly encouraged but is not required.
Instructions to Bidders.
For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications,
procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that
are included in the Bidding Documents. Bid security shall be furnished in
accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
American Iron and Steel
Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of
2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug
Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and
subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an
American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel
products used in this project must be produced in the United States.
The term “iron and steel products” means the following products made
primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole
covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe
clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast
concrete, and Construction Materials.

The Owner is an equal opportunity provider and employer. Bidders are
to base their Bids on the Project funding being provided in whole or
in part by USDA Rural Development and the State of Nevada Capital
Improvements Grant Program. State Wage Rates are applicable on the
Project.
