On Friday, the Nevada State Police and first responders escorted the family of Nevada Highway Patrol Lt. Lorin Correll from Reno-Tahoe Airport to bring his remains home to Ruhenstroth.

The procession passed through Carson Valley with a motorcycle escort and first responders saluting as it passed.

Correll died while snorkeling with family and friends while on vacation in the Galapagos Islands, according to a Nevada State Police Union statement issued on June 29.
